This old tractor was outside in Northern Wisconsin near Eagle River. The back tracks and gears are interesting.
The Apple Blossom trail was a little rough in 2023, the views are fantastic with the historic mine shaft and rails at the Mining Museum in Caspian MI.
Stumbled on this one very hot summer day. I needed water and there was none. Then a heavenly favor and I found this Artesian Spring. Now I make it a regular stop to get clean healthy water for camp.

They have a big mine shaft and rail iron ore cars and tracks at the Iron County Museum. Lots of mining history, found in Caspian Michigan.

You will find lots of old abandoned towns and farms and homes in the U.P. The Upper Peninsula of Michigan had a healthy lumber and mining industry. 1900 to 1950 was a different with most of those communities in ruins now.
Along the Apple Blossom Trail between Gaastra and Caspian MI is the Iron County Historical Museum with a deep mining content.
Along the Apple Blossom Trail between Caspian and Iron River MI. You can see State Line Trail an old Rail Line goes US2 near Crystal Falls and Florence WI, through Pentoga and Iron River.

Some Ruins alone State Line Trail that used to be an active rail line. This old building purpose is unknown but it has a substantial foundation.
Rock piles along State line Trail from clearing of old farm land. These rocks could be full or Iron, Silver, and Bronze in some rare cases.
Rock piles along State line Trail from clearing of old farm land. There are lot of these rock piles for round rocks left from the ice age and glaciers. A lot of times they are made into walls, sometimes like this just piles up next to a cleared field.
The town was booming Early 1900's so this barn could be 100 years old. I love the special diamond window .
